Timeless Ceramic Wall Tiles
Just a couple of generations ago, a lot of homes within working class societies look pretty much the same. Oh, there were different items of furniture and some difference with colour schemes, but even so, it was still pretty much a copycat society with regards to the safe way in which a lot of families decorated and kitted out their real estate. Nearly all kitchen and bathrooms had Ceramic Wall Tiles, and more often than not these were plain white or with a subtle pattern. Coffee tables had smoked glass tops for donkey’s years supported by chromium frames. Walls were covered in magnolia matt emulsion, of the same paint over woodchip wallpaper, which, like most things back then, was popular and economical choice. Folks even bought the same popular prints to hang on their walls, and it was not uncommon to see the same Constable or other widespread reproduction hanging above the fireplace.
If there’s one thing the increase in the working man’s wage and home ownership has done with recent generations, and that give people more choices, and with that comes a desire to be more unique in every aspect of the modern lifestyle, whether it be the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the houses we live in, the areas we live, and of course, the way we shop for our homes, filling them with a décor and ambience using products that we hope none others have got. If you’re curious about how your parents (if they’re around retirement age), or you grandparents, used to live, take a look online at the homes and lifestyles of their day. You’ll be amazed at just how far we’ve come in such a short space of time.
