Remodel with a New Medicine Cabinet and Tile Flooring Design

After purchasing our first home in the middle of a historic district, we wanted to try to revive the charm and beauty the house had when it was first built.  The house was in great structural condition, but needed major cosmetic upgrades in the bathrooms.  We looked for a professional to help us with our bathroom tile design so it would fit in with the era of the home.  We looked at all kinds of shapes and sizes of tiles.  We finally decided that subway tiles would be the best fit for our small remodeling project.

Since we wanted to tile the walls as well as the floor, we had to consider what type of medicine cabinet, vanity and lighting fixtures we would be using.  Once all the details were squared away, we were ready to begin.  The bathroom tile design mimicked the design that was in the master bathroom.  We would eventually be remodeling the master bathroom as well.  We decided to use the same tile there too.  The design was a random pattern.  There was no rhyme or reason to the off-set in each row.  As long as the edges were connected and straight, we just laid the tile as they fit.  It turned out beautifully eclectic.
